About the Organizers

Integrated Chemists of the Philippines (ICP)

Established in 1976, the Integrated Chemists of the Philippines (ICP) is the accredited integrated professional organization of registered chemists and registered chemical technicians under the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC). The ICP is concerned with matters related to the professional practice of chemistry and other legal aspects. The ICP works closely with the Professional Regulatory Board of Chemistry of the PRC.

The ICP has thirteen chapters and four clusters. The chapters are: National, Region 3, Region 4A, Bicol, Panay, Bacolod, Negros Oriental, Cebu, Eastern Visayas, Northern Mindanao, Zamboanga Peninsula, Region 12 (Sox), and Southern Mindanao. The clusters are: Forensic Chemistry (PNP), ITDI, CAR, and Unilab. 

The organizers of the 37th Philippine Chemistry Congress are ICP National (NOC) and the host, ICP Bacolod (LOC).

Philippine Federation of Chemistry Societies (PFCS)

The Philippine Federation of Chemistry Societies (PFCS) is the umbrella organization of the major chemistry societies in the Philippines. PFCS was established in 1988. The PFCS has four member societies:

  • Kapisanang Kimika ng Pilipinas (KKP)
  • Integrated Chemists of the Philippines (ICP)
  • Philippine Association of Chemistry Teachers (PACT)
  • Philippine Association of Chemistry Students (PACS)

Through the four organizations, the PFCS is able to reach and serve professional chemists, chemical technicians, chemistry educators, students, and professionals in the allied disciplines.
